There are many reasons for class II treatment relapse.

Among them we can describe:

Unfavourable growth, lack of patient cooperation, lack of muscular adaptation, instable post treatment occlusion, persistence of labio-lingual dysfunction or harmful habits, lack of post-therapy contention.

Very oftenwe do not know which approach is the best for particular patients. Among removable and fixed appliances there are activators, positioners, retainers or full fixed therapy.

Cooperation is a drawback in such cases and sometimes it is dificult to treat the relapse with a removle activator or positioner.

The Ritto Appliance could do this job in a easy way. It is only necessary to place two upper bands, and brackets on lower canines and first premolars. Lower incisors are free because the lingual retainer is bonded.
